This format of mining is used to reach the materials that are too far below the surface for any method of overground mining. The main feature of this mining method is the conveyer belt that has to go through many levels of elevation. 
 
Process-
This method is very similar to shaft mining. The only main difference is the conveyer belt that moves the materials far below the surface. While shaft mining has a elevator system that doesn't go too far belowground  In fact, the conveyer belt sometimes go 2,000 feet below the surface. Slope mining is done at the bottom of valleys. The mining is done in the best method possible for that area.
